Anthony Scaramucci’s legal advice to Michael Cohen
Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci appeared on The Circus: Inside the Wildest Political Show on Earth, where he divulged the advice he gave his friend and Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen. Cohen’s office, home, and hotel room were raided by the FBI on April 9, and there may be an indictment in his future.
According to Scaramucci — who calls himself a “recovering” lawyer — he told Cohen, “Get in a closed room with your attorney, tell him everything. Tell him the naked, unvarnished truth. He’s way more objective than you, and listen to his strategy to help you.”
Scaramucci also weighed in on a question that’s on everyone’s mind, including the president. The Circus co-host John Heilemann asked Scaramucci, “Do you think there is a substantial chance that Michael Cohen will end up cooperating with federal authorities against the president of the United States?”
“I don’t think the president did anything that — with Michael — that Michael needs to quote/unquote flip,” Scaramucci answered. “And I think Michael is a loyal guy.”
The Circus: Inside the Wildest Political Show on Earth airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Showtime.
