Anya Taylor-Joy Goes Edgy in Acne Studios Little Black Dress for ‘Furiosa’ Screening With Chris Hemsworth
Anya Taylor-Joy attended the Los Angeles screening of her forthcoming film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” on Wednesday. The actress posed for photos alongside costar Chris Hemsworth at the event.
For the screening, Taylor-Joy opted for more method dressing, fashioning a short-sleeve leather minidress from Acne Studios’ fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The dress featured a front zipper running down the length of the garment and extra fabric detailing on the hem of the skirt and sleeves.

The actress completed her look with pointed-toe black pumps and pieces of jewelry that included delicate rings, a cuff bracelet and silver hoop earrings. Taylor-Joy’s hair was styled in a high ponytail, with her long blond tresses cascading down her back. Her clean makeup featured a pop of color with a bold red lip.
Taylor-Joy’s latest look for her “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” press tour made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week last February during Acne Studios’ fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection showcase. The collection featured a number of sculpted and futuristic designs, which follows the approach Taylor-Joy and her stylist Ryan Hastings have applied to her looks for her various “Furiosa” press events.
Among other pieces the Emmy-nominated actress fashioned, Taylor-Joy wore an ornately designed look from Paco Rabanne’s spring 1996 couture collection for the “Fuiosa: A Mad Max Saga” Sydney premiere on May 2. The intricate piece featured spikes and arrow-like fixtures jutting out of the skirt and coordinated headpiece. More recently, the actress wore a custom Balmain sculpted metal minidress with floral embellishments for a photo call in Mexico City on May 6.
“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is the prequel to director George Miller’s 2015 Oscar-winning film “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The film follows Furiosa’s vengeful fight to return home after being abducted by a horde of bikers in a desolate world. The film hits theaters on May 24.
