A$AP Rocky was spotted in a pair of black oxford shoes to celebrate the launch of the new ‘Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams’ Thursday night in New York City.
The exclusive evening included cocktails on The Landmark’s private floor followed by an intimate seated dinner hosted by Williams. Additional guests included Gabrielle Union, Ayo Edebiri, Daniel Arsham, Maggie Rogers and more, with the party being hosted at Tiffany & Co.’s iconic Fifth Avenue flagship: The Landmark.
While A$AP Rocky isn’t in dress shoes for upscale events, you can typically find him sporting sneakers. Last month, the rapper released his latest signature shoe with Puma, the ‘A$AP Rocky x Puma Inhale,’ which featured a cream mesh base along with red and black overlays taking the shape of flames for an early 2000s look. The shoes included a custom insole and a number of archival graphics, with only 150 pairs featuring the limited-edition detail via gifting.
About the shoes
For the ‘Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams” event, A$AP Rocky chose a simplistic pair of black oxfords to complete his monochromatic outfit. The shoes were expertly crafted with patent leather material, and featured a slight window paneling design. No additional laces or adornments were present on the shoe, which was finished with a small block heel measuring less than an inch.
About oxford shoes
Oxford shoes first began gaining popularity at Oxford university circa the early 1800s as a rebellion against knee-high and ankle-high boots. Oxfords are typically made with leather material, and are regarded for their comfort, versatility and ability to last for decades. The modern oxford shoe is much different than the original shoe established in the 1800s, as the present model offers a more refined look. Many brands including Gucci, Versace and Burberry offer different variations of oxford shoes.
