Her clips have been viewed millions of times on YouTube, and many considered her an odds-on favorite to win after her impressive performance in the quarter-finals round.

During the finals on Tuesday, Farmer pulled out all the stops with an amazing routine that saw her singing a duet between two of her puppets, and even the judges were predicting that she was a lock to take home the grand prize.

"The best part of doing this job is when you are there and you can say, 'I was there at the beginning of someone's career and I witnessed a star,'" Simon Cowell praised after her appearance in the finals. "Tonight, again, I've just witnessed a star emerge, because that's what you are. You're special, incredible, funny, talented and I think you're going to win."

During the finale results show, Farmer took the stage with famed ventriloquist -- and previous AGT winner -- Terry Fator, and got the chance to shoot a pre-taped intro with comedian Jeff Dunham.

In her first appearance on the show, Farmer told the judges that one of her goals in competing was to reinvigorate interest in the dying art of ventriloquism, and her big win could go a long way toward making that dream a reality.

While Farmer was one of the fan favorites, she had some truly stiff competition from everyone else who had made it into the finals.
