'Big Brother:' GinaMarie calls being fired by pageant company 'a really big stab in the heart': Plus, Andy and Spencer apologize

Big Brother wrapped up its controversial 15th season Sept. 18, and we spoke to all three finalists this morning on Entertainment Weekly radio (SiriusXM, channel 105). Rather than the usual celebratory nature these interviews can take, our chats with Andy Herren, GinaMarie Zimmerman, and Spencer Clawson centered mostly around their behavior in the house, specifically comments or conversations all three took part in that have led to each of them being either fired or publicly rebuked by their employers. And you can now hear all three interviews right here on the InsideTV Podcast. [SPOILER ALERT: Stop reading now unless you already watched Wednesday’s finale of Big Brother.]

Andy Herren won Big Brother, but he could not escape the controversy that has extended even to him when his employer, the College of DuPage, used its Facebook page to publicly rebuke the contestant’s language and behavior. We asked the winner about that as well as all the homophobic jokes and slurs that were slung in his direction.

But things were just getting started. Then we spoke with runner-up GinaMarie, who after less than 12 hours outside of the house was still getting up to speed on the public’s reaction to her using the N word (among other racial slurs). In fact, we were actually the first ones to read her the harsh comments from her (now former) employer, East Coast USA Pageant, in response to her behavior. How did GinaMarie respond? Let’s just say she describes it as “a really big stab in the heart.” You will definitely want to click on the audio player to listen in and find out. (She also talks about her big reunion with Nick, as well as meeting up again with former foes Amanda and Candice outside the house.)

And then it was time for Spencer to call in. Unfortunately, he was a bit late, so we only got a few minutes with the man, but it was still enough time for him to apologize for his offensive comments and update us on his union’s fight to keep his job at Union Pacific Railroad alive.
