'Colbert Report' final lineup: Seth Rogen, Kendrick Lamar and Death?
The end of The Colbert Report is upon us, and from the sounds of it, it’s going to have a bleak ending.
Comedy Central has announced the guest lineup for the show’s final week, leading up to the comedian’s final sign-off on Dec. 18.The Interview star Seth Rogen will stop by on Monday, followed by Kendrick Lamar on Tuesday and National Book Award recipient Phil Klay on Wednesday. His final guest? Colbert’s “colleague and lifelong friend” Grimmy, which we can only assume is a nickname for the Grim Reaper.
In a statement on Thursday, EW’s current cover star wrote, “Our last week of shows are going to be really special, just like every other week.”
Colbert is set to take over for David Letterman on The Late Show sometime next year. The newly renamed Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore will take the place of The Colbert Report beginning Monday, Jan. 19.
