Are Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Getting Back Together?

Soon-to-be exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are confusing the heck out of people by, well, getting along.
After the nanny hiccup, the duo, who announced they are divorcing in June, seem to be upholding their promise to “go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children.” In doing so, however, they have sparked a slew of new rumors, from a possible reconciliation to — wait for it — a new baby.
Here is the latest gossip surrounding Ben and Jen 2.0…
1. They’re getting back together. While the tabloid OK! claims that they’re “dating again,” here’s what we know: They have been photographed a lot together — with and without their three children — since they returned to L.A. from Atlanta, where Garner was filming. At least once a week since early September, photogs have captured them arriving to marriage counseling, hitting the farmers market, leaving church, and taking the kids to karate class. On one occasion, they even dined — as a party of two — at Nobu in Malibu. And while they ditched their wedding bands in August, Jen was wearing what appeared to be her ring during one trip out with Ben, but it was on a different finger. Could this mean they a reconsidering the divorce? It’s possible. According to People magazine, the pair, who were married for nearly 10 years, went back and forth about splitting up for some time — and they attended couples therapy for several years before calling it quits — so it’s possible that they’re having a change of heart. It’s also possible though that they’re just doing what they publicly promised they would do: remain friends and co-parent. After all, none of the photos show them being affectionate.
2. They’re having a baby. The tabloids are always looking for ways to further a story and this photo is helping their cause. On Monday, Jen’s shirt blew up and now she’s pregnant with Ben’s child. The baby, of course, is saving their marriage. While wind is likely to blame, OK! credits ex sex, saying they conceived after one of their “frequent family dinners in mid-August.” While crazier things have happened, Jen has been dogged with pregnancy rumors since five minutes after Samuel was born in 2012. She addressed the gossip last year on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, telling the host that three pregnancies left her with a perma-bump. “It’s not going anywhere,” she said of her tiny tummy bulge. “Its name is Violet, Sam, and Sera.” That said, Garner has also been quoted saying that Affleck wanted a fourth child. “The fact that Ben wants another is true,” Garner told Extra in 2012. “I can tell you that would be a pretty uphill battle with me. I am not anticipating having any more kids!”

3. They’re selling their house. This one actually seems to be true. While the pair initially planned to reside on the same property — Jen in the main house with their kids and Ben in the subterranean guesthouse — Variety reported that they quietly enlisted the help of a top broker to shop their Pacific Palisades mansion. While they purchased the house from Brian Grazer for $17.5 million in 2009 (Gregory Peck also lived there), they’re now seeking $45 million for the cliffside compound. Perhaps even if they do reconcile, they’ll want a fresh start somewhere else.

4. The nanny is shopping a tell-all book. Christine Ouzounian is considering writing a book about her relationship with Affleck, again according to the unreliable OK! magazine. “Christine is very upset and says Ben should be worried. In her mind, this is far from over,” a source supposedly told the tabloid. While we would absolutely, positively read Ouzounian’s book (hey, it’s our job!), it all sounds a bit too Fatal Attraction to us. Besides, she hung out with him for like a month — that’s enough material for a book? Maybe an Us Weekly cover story or a sit-down interview with one of the entertainment news shows, but beyond that there probably isn’t much interest. Unless she announces she’s pregnant with Affleck’s baby.

Garner’s reps didn’t respond to our request about the pregnancy or reconciliation rumors. So for now we’ll just have to keep waiting and watching — and also hoping that maybe there’s some truth behind all this gossip.
