Grande’s first gig an an actress was at age 15 when she appeared in the Broadway musical “13” (2008). But it was her TV role as sweet redhead Cat Valentine in Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” (2010–13) and its spin-off “Sam & Cat” (2013–14) that proved to be her big break in the industry.

Her movie career got a big boost in 2024 when she was cast as Galinda Upland in the big budget adaptation of “Wicked,” opposite Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba Thropp. The film was split into two parts, with the second part slated for November 2025. Prior to that, she appeared in movies like “Snowflake, the White Gorilla” (2013) as the voice of Snowflake, “Underdogs” (2016) as the voice of Laura, and “Don’t Look Up” (2021) as — what else? — a pop star named Riley Bina.

Some of her most notable TV roles include “Family Guy” (2014) as the voice of “Italian Daughter,” “Scream Queens” (2015) as Sonya Herfmann/Chanel #2, “Hairspray Live!” (2016) as Penny Pingleton, and “Kidding” (2020) as Piccola Grande. She’s also a two-time host on “Saturday Night Live” (2016 and 2024), in which she took on multiple characters and delivered spot-on impressions of Jennifer Coolidge, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, and Miley Cyrus.

As for her personal life, Grande is currently single after divorcing her husband Dalton Gomez in 2024. She has a supportive brother named Frankie Grande who is well-known to viewers of the reality TV show “Big Brother,” where he was a competition beast.
