Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Go on Disney Date with Pals: 'Her Friends Love Him' (Exclusive Source)

A source exclusively tells PEOPLE the pair are "really happy"

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater enjoyed some time with Mickey Mouse.

According to photos and video obtained by Deuxmoi and TMZ, the couple was spotted arm-in-arm walking around a Disney park on Friday night.

The pair were photographed from behind while waiting for a ride.

A video from their excursion shows the pop star, 30, and the Tony nominee, 31, spending time with friends and enjoying a tour from a theme park guide.

“They went with a big group of friends as well her mom and brother," a source exclusively tells PEOPLE, adding that they are "really happy and really good for each other.

"All of her friends love him," the source said of Slater.

In early September, PEOPLE reported that Grande and Slater's relationship was still going strong and has been "much different than what has been portrayed."

“While this entire situation has been blown out of proportion, it’s much different than what has been portrayed in public,” a friend of the couple told PEOPLE.

“They are just trying to navigate their new relationship in private,” the source continued.

“People have tried to question the timeline,” a close family friend said of the relationship between Grande and Slater, who were friends and costars before they began dating. 

The pair's romance started after Grande’s separation from her husband Dalton Gomez and Slater’s separation from his wife Lilly Jay. “The truth is, Ariana and Ethan didn’t begin seeing each other until after both parties were separated, respectfully,” continues the close family friend. 

An additional source close to the situation told PEOPLE that the couple "are doing their best to balance the fact that they are in the public eye with the desire to be respectful to all parties involved.”

Grande and Slater initially met on set of the upcoming Wicked film adaptation and were confirmed to be dating by PEOPLE in July.

News of their relationship broke just days after PEOPLE confirmed that the "7 Rings" singer split from her husband, Dalton Gomez.

“Ariana and Dalton separated in January," a source told PEOPLE. "She and Ethan recently began dating."

Slater is also separated from his wife, Lilly Jay with whom he shares a 1-year-old son.

He filed for divorce on July 26, 2023, while Grande filed on Sept. 18, 2023.
