Ariana Grande’s Glinda and Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba Inspired Sydney Evan’s ‘Wicked’ Jewelry Collection
Universal Pictures’ “Wicked,” staring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, is among the most anticipated movies of the holiday season — and to mark the occasion, jeweler Sydney Evan has been tapped by the studio to create an exclusive capsule collection.
“Our original conversation with Universal was about a completely different project, but when we began talking, they told us they actually had something else in mind that would be the perfect fit,” explained Rosanne Karmes, founder and designer of Sydney Evan. “When I first saw the ‘Wicked’ sizzle reel, I instantly recognized the power of the film, and I knew I wanted Sydney Evan to be a part of the magic. I was absolutely blown away by the small glimpses of the set design and the visual magnitude of what they created.”

Karmes took inspiration from the story’s main characters Glinda, portrayed by Ariana Grande, and Elphaba, portrayed Cynthia Erivo, crafting unique pieces that fit each of them. “Universal Pictures provided a general brief, but other than that, I was able to have a lot of creative freedom,” she said. “I spent time deep-diving into the film’s characters, plots, and locations and translated the elements I found most compelling and that would work best with jewelry into the collection.”
Glinda’s assortment includes her wand, transformed into a 14-karat gold diamond, and pink sapphire pendant necklace, perfume bottle stud earrings, and a sparkling array of butterfly motifs across categories. Elphaba’s pieces include 14-karat yellow gold witches’ boot and hat charms accented with a single emerald and offered as a necklace, bracelet and earrings. Other “Wicked”-themed styles include an emerald and diamond motif medallion necklace inscribed with the phrase “Unlock the Magic Within” on the opposite side.
Taking it one step further, the Wicked x Sydney Evan collection includes reimagined interpretations of the jeweler’s popular Icons collection, including a hot air balloon, perfume bottle, “Oz,” and a “W” combined.
“It was a complete joy creating this collection and immersing myself into the wonderful world of ‘Wicked.’ My vision when designing was to seamlessly incorporate the DNA of Sydney Evan and ‘Wicked’ into every piece, merging both universes. You will see this reflected in our popular icons such as the evil eye, butterfly and star, which are subtly included throughout the line,” she said.
The collection ranges from $495 to $30,970 and will be available starting Nov. 1 online and at select retailers. The partnership will continue in late 2025, launching a second collection to coincide with the theatrical release of “Wicked Part Two.”
