Asbury Park Brewery has found its new home on Cookman Avenue
The Asbury Park Brewery is finally moving into its new home.
Operating since 2016 at 810 Sewall Ave., the new brewery and tasting room will open its doors at 614 Cookman Ave. sometime in April.
"When you walk in the front door, there's going to be about a 2,000-square-foot tasting room in the front, with a bar on the right hand side, couches, tables and an open area," managing partner Brian Durand said. "Behind that, there's going to be a glass wall that separates the brewery from the tasting room, so people can look in."
The newfound brewery space will also allow for a wider selection, with a rotating list of 12 beers and anywhere from eight to 10 varieties available at a time.
"In the tasting room, we're going to have a bunch of different styles from Hefeweizens to browns ales," Durand said. "We're going to be making new [beers] weekly and monthly."
The conversational space in the downtown hub of Asbury Park will have an indoor capacity of about 120, with room for 90 seats. There will also be an outdoor area on the front patio.

Some popular beers to try will be the Blonde, a 4.9% light bodied European-style lager; the Sea Dragon, a 7% East Coast IPA with notes of citrus and pine; the Easy Dragon, a 4.5% easy-sipping session IPA with warrior, citra, mosaic and simcoe hops; and the fruity Dragon Juice, an 8% New England-style IPA with notes of citrus and pine.
This summer will see the seasonal Watermelon Summer fruit beer at 4.5%, and an all new collaboration with the Stone Pony.
"We've been part of the Asbury Park community since 2016 in a warehouse off of Main Street," Durand said. "We're excited to move downtown to Cookman, near all our friends and other local businesses, to help the downtown [area] grow."
