Ashley Benson is denying she used Ozempic to lose weight after welcoming her daughter in February.
It all started when the 34-year-old posted a mirror selfie on Monday. In it, the Pretty Little Liars alum posed in a black tank top, gray sweats, and red trucker hat, with her abs peeking through. “My fav hat," she wrote in the caption.
Many people in the comments pointed out that Ashley looks super fit, despite having a baby not that long ago.
“How you look so good after having a baby girl tell me ??,” one said. But another shared a photo of an advertisement for Ozempic, which is a type 2 diabetes drug that many celebrities have used to lose weight.
Ashley clapped back by sharing a screenshot of the Ozempic comment in her Instagram Stories. “Comments like this are so funny to me,” she wrote over top. “I know a lot of people take Ozempic and that's totally fine. To each their own. But don't discredit people who also work very hard to get their body back like I've done with mine.”
Ashley said that “getting back to work forced me to focus on my health and working out and I wanted to feel confident and good about myself.” She also called out the Melissa Wood-Tepperberg health and wellness app for helping her.
Ashley shared another photo in her Instagram Stories of herself wearing workout clothes next to a yoga mat, with weights and bands clearly visible.
“Nothing makes me happier than doing @melissawoodtepperberg every day,” she wrote over top.
That's not all she does for fitness: Ashley previously told People that she’s a fan of Speedplay, a 60-minute high-intensity interval training class that mixes running, rowing, and floor exercises.
Ashley tries to eat healthy, too. Breakfast usually involves a hard-boiled egg with iced coffee and a splash of half and half, followed by salad or a cheeseburger for lunch, according to Delish. Dinner is typically something involving fish.
Ashley previously told Health magazine, per ET, that she gets told “all the time” to lose weight. “It’s come up a few times in the last few years, like, ‘You’re too fat for this.’ And I’m just sitting here like, ‘Wait, what? Do you want a skeleton?’” she said. “But I feel good. I don’t want to lose 20 pounds, because I don’t need to.”
Keep doing you, Ashley!
