In 2013, Twilight star Ashley Greene’s West Hollywood apartment went up in smoke and it’s been a thorn in her side ever since. But a joint statement sent to Yahoo by Greene’s publicist confirms that Greene’s legal troubles related to the fire are finally over, nearly two years later.
“A settlement between Ashley Greene and the plaintiffs has been reached in regards to the 2013 apartment fire and the lawsuit is finished,” the statement reads. No details about the settlement have been released.

In the early morning of March 22, 2013, Greene’s apartment at the Granville Towers went up in smoke. She, her brother, and a third person were in the apartment at the time and treated for smoke inhalation on the scene. Following the fire, the building’s doorman, Adrian Mayorga — along with four of her neighbors — sued Greene, saying that he was injured while combing the hallways telling residents to evacuate.
When the suit was filed in late 2013, Page Six reported that Greene’s neighbors claimed that she’d never apologized for the fire which temporarily displaced them, and they called her a “horrible neighbor” who “refused to cooperate with the investigation.”
One of the neighbors went so far as to say, “We would have had more peace and quiet living next to Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller.”

Following the fire, investigators determined that it was caused by a lit candle, which set a couch on fire, spreading quickly to the whole apartment. The fire was found to be accidental.
