Aubrey Plaza Reveals Why She Hasn’t Watched ‘White Lotus’ Yet
Aubrey Plaza’s performance in The White Lotus may have earned her an Emmy nomination, but she actually hasn’t even seen it yet.
The actress revealed in a recent video interview for The Wall Street Journal that she hasn’t watched any episodes of her season of Mike White’s hit HBO anthology series. She played Harper Spiller in season two.

“I still haven’t, but I’m going to,” Plaza admitted. “To be honest, I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally. I couldn’t figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can’t figure out the passwords. I just can’t handle things like that.”
“I’d love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore,” she added. “I ask them every time.”
In the Parks and Recreation alum’s defense, she’s never been a huge fan of streaming platforms. She actually told Vanity Fair last year that she gets “really angry” whenever she has to use the services.
“I was trying to watch Top Chef season 20. Couldn’t figure out how to fucking get Hulu + Live. I give up! I can’t. I just can’t,” Plaza said at the time. “And so what I like to do is go on iTunes and buy movies that are old. Or I’ll go on iTunes and just, like, buy the whole Sopranos series, and then my husband will be like, ‘You literally can watch that for free on HBO Max.’”
Plaza scored an Emmy nod for best supporting actress in a drama series last year for her performance in the show.
The White Lotus is set to return for season three in 2025.
