August Alsina Seemingly Claps Back At Akbar V After Rant About Him Loving Men

August Alsina seemingly responded to Akbar V’s attacks against his claim that God led him to enter a relationship with another man, as the crooner has shunned any “negative energy” directed his way.

In a recent social media post, Alsina appeared to clap back at Akbar V while promoting his new fragrance, Evolutionary, deeming it a “repellent” to negativity. “[It’s] really become an aromatherapy to me somehow,” the 31-year-old said of his new signature scent.

Alsina also appeared to address Akbar V’s verbal onslaught in the post’s caption, albeit without mentioning the rapper by name. “M E S S A G E ?? !! .. there’s a lot more that could be said, but I don’t want to interrupt the Grace of God over life that speaks the loudest,” the New Orleans native wrote, adding, “Stay well!” along with a heart emoji.

First revealing that he was romantically involved with a man in 2022, Alsina’s assertion that God had anything to do with his union didn’t sit well with Akbar V. A devout Christian and Hip-Hop artist, the rapper let her thoughts on Alsina’s polarizing statement be known via a series of rants on social media.

According to Akbar V, Alsina’s statements are in direct contradiction of the Bible and that he must be serving an alternate version of God than the one depicted in scripture. “He gives us a choice… How did God do this and he says it’s a sin? So does that mean God is a liar?” the Atlanta resident asked, adding, “It’s only one true living God.”

However, Akbar V made it clear that her sentiments were not a personal attack on Alsina, referring to the New Orleans native as “her brother” while remaining steadfast behind her words.

She continued, “This is not to down August Alsina. I’m not against my brother; I’m basically saying God hasn’t told him that because God doesn’t like sin… and if we are sinning, God is not a God who promotes sin then tells us not to sin… I am praying for my brother and hope one day he finds the truth about the true living God.”
