‘Avengers: Endgame’ Sets First-Day Presales Record For Fandango & Atom; Marvel High For Regal: CinemaCon – Update
3RD UPDATE, 3:08PM after 2nd Update, 1:22PM: Fandango is reporting that Avengers: Endgame has notched the best first-day U.S. sales record for the online ticket retailer, beating Star Wars: The Force Awakens — and it only took six hours.
Advance tickets for Avengers: Endgame went on sale on Fandango today at 5 a.m. PT/8 ET.

Atom Tickets also made an update that Endgame is their best first day sales ever for the mobile ticket operator. It achieved that record in less than half a day and outsold Warner Bros./DC’s Aquaman by 4x.
Over at Regal Endgame is outpacing their website advance ticket sales for any Marvel movie in the circuit’s history. Within eight hours of going on sale, Avengers: Endgame has doubled all the first week sales for Avengers: Infinity War.
“With our advance ticket record skyrocketing, we are preparing some exciting events and special offers for our Marvel movie fans,” said Ken Thewes, Regal’s chief marketing officer. “We will continue to monitor the demand and ensure Regal moviegoers can enjoy plenty of opportunities to see this highly anticipated movie.”
1st UPDATE: Avengers: Endgame tickets went on sale today with Atom Tickets reporting that in the first hour, the Marvel movie has set a record for the mobile ticket retailer. To date, Avengers: Endgame has sold three times more tickets on Atom in the first hour of pre-sales than Avengers: Infinity War did last year. The first hour of Avengers: Endgame presales also outstrips Atom’s first hour sales for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Fandango is also reporting strong sales for the Russo Brothers-directed sequel.
In addition, the frenzy for Avengers: Endgame tickets is so huge, it’s crashing sites. Ticket buyers are getting a 503 error code on AMC, and some users on Atom and Fandango are having difficulty too. But that’s a sign that business is strong, and it’s par for the course for any ticket retailer’s sites whenever there is a rush for a hot act. You just get boxed out. Keep trying.
Disney’s Avengers: Endgame opens on April 26.
