Aww! Duchess Kate's brother James treats his dog like a royal in adorable summer PSA
James Middleton, younger brother to Duchess Catherine and Pippa Middleton, is giving his pooch the royal treatment.
The British businessman, 33, took to Instagram on Wednesday to remind his followers about the importance of keeping your pets cool during the sweltering summer days.
In the video, Middleton's dog Mabel lounges like a princess in a plastic bin filled with water, while her human sprays her with a hose. "Feeling Hot Hot Hot" by The Merrymen plays in the background.
"It’s so important to keep your dogs safe and cool during hot weather!" Middleton wrote. "Here’s how Mabel likes to cool down!"
Middleton also included a list of things people can do to keep their dogs cool. They include: keeping your dogs in the shade; giving them a damp towel to lie on; letting them cool off with a garden sprinkler or, in Mabel's case, in a container full of water; and filling a thermos with cold water for them to drink.
"And remember never leave dogs alone in a hot (car) ...ever," he added.
According to his Instagram bio, Middleton is also "Dog Dad" to five other canines: Ella, Zulu, Inka, Luna and Nala. He frequently posts about his love of dogs.
On July 24, Middleton revealed on Instagram that he gave away a litter of puppies to new homes after "56 days of early starts, lots of poo and half eaten socks."
"I am sad to see you go, and yes I might cry but it will be with happiness as each of your new homes are bursting with love," he wrote. "You might be scared at first, thats ok. Just be yourself and you will never understand how much happiness you will bring to your new families and all the people you meet. Make me proud, & remember to write."
