Loewe Taps Ayo Edebiri, Drew Starkey, and More for New Campaign

Loewe always manages to recruit an impressive roster of celebrities for their campaigns, ranging from industry stalwarts to rising new stars. And their latest shoot for the Spring/Summer 2025 pre-collection is no exception.

For this campaign, shot by Juergen Teller, the luxury Spanish label recruited names like Ayo Edebiri, Drew Starkey, Richard Gadd, Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Baifern Pimchanok, RoseWylie, and Sue Kroll to star.

A press release from the brand states: “Characters are defined by what they wear: an air of Americana pervades the menswear, while womenswear is all about class—slinky draped dresses and leather. Boat shoes, furry pumps and sandals are pictured as still lifes amongst the costumes worn by the performers, nodding at odd pairings without the need of human presence. Juergen Teller’s eye lands a varnish of dry humor to the whole, twisting traditional studio imagery with a blunt sense of directness and a quirky taste for oddness.”

Gucci, Debbie Harry, and Kelsey Lu Hold an Intimate Dinner in SoHo

For his latest Gucci campaign, creative director Sabato De Sarno returned to London, the city which first inspired the brand’s founder, Guccio Gucci. Titled “We Will Always Have London,” the shoot was photographed Nan Goldin, who worked with Debbie Harry and Kelsey Lu as her muses.

According to the brand, the campaign acts as: “A story of places, people, and moments. Marking a new chapter in Sabato De Sarno’s ever-evolving vision, the House unveils a new campaign... captured through the authentic and intimate lens of famed photographer Nan Goldin to present the Gucci Blondie bag and Cruise 2025. The campaign is an ode to the timeless allure of London—where the collection debuted, and the House’s deep connection to the city.”

Then, to celebrate the release of the campaign, Gucci, alongside Harry and Lu, held an intimate dinner at the newly-opened Manuela in SoHo, where guests included Goldin, as well as Jemima Kirke, Derek Blasberg, Antwaun Sargent, Iris Apatow, June Ambrose, and more.

Since 2016, the French maison has been enlisting artists to help transform the bag in their own vision, and this year’s crew includes Sara Flores, Jeffrey Gibson, Huang Yuxing, Liang Yuanwei, Danielle McKinney, Duy Anh Nhan Duc, Hayal Pozanti, Faith Ringgold, Vaughn Spann, Anna Weyant, and Woo Kukwon.

The result is a magnificent set of creations that feature stunning embroidery, beadwork, prints, and more—all featured on the Lady Dior silhouette. These artists are, as Dior puts it, “Translating their unique perspective, extending the narrative of their works, and echoing their values. Every reinterpretation is a veritable challenge requiring prodigious prowess—an art of meticulous detail, uniting magic and reality through the prisms of excellence and imagination.” An official rollout of the styles will begin in mid-November.
