Annika Noelle Breaks Down Emmy-Worthy Reel, Hope’s Rocky B&B Journey
Annika Noelle has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy before for her work as Hope Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful. After a Supporting Actress nod a few years ago, she’s now been honored with other actresses competing for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The actress chatted with Soap Hub about her 2024 nomination.
And the Daytime Emmy Goes To
“It just felt like the right time to do so,” Noelle tells Soap Hub about submitting for Lead Actress consideration. “I was so blessed with enough story to show a wide range of Hope’s journey. I wanted to show the growth that occurred. Brad [Bell, head writer/executive producer] and the writers wrote this slow burn, showing Hope’s triumphs and tribulations.”
Noelle’s reel includes scenes of Hope interacting with Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke, the aftermath of her kiss with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) in Rome with Liam (Scott Clifton), and Brooke confronting Hope after finding her in a vulnerable state with Thomas. “I tried to show the girl she was at the beginning of the story and show the strong woman she’s becoming,” Noelle shares. “I got to play with a lot of people in the sandbox, and I’m very grateful for that.
“I’m so proud to be in this company of women I’m in with and to share this with my TV mama,” Annika Noelle says. “I’ve gotten a text from Tamara Braun [Ava, Days of our Lives]. I Facetimed with [Katherine] when she was riding horseback. It’s amazing that these women are so supportive of one another. I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this daytime community.”
Noelle’s gratitude extends beyond being nominated – she’s thankful to have been entrusted with the role of Hope. The actress wasn’t a blonde when she auditioned for the part. “I always text Brad around the time of my anniversary and thank him for letting this former brunette take on the role of this blonde character. He had foresight and trusted me with this material. I’m so lucky he believes in me.”
The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards air on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
