If you’ve been dying to catch a glimpse of the royal baby, you’re in luck: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle debuted Baby Archie in Africa for his first royal engagement, and he’s every bit as cute as we imagined. Plus, the 4-month-old is the spitting image of his father when Prince Harry was a baby!

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor appeared alongside his parents in Cape Town, where the family met with human rights activist Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka. The family’s outing was part of their South African tour and marks baby Archie’s first official royal appearance.

The Duke and Duchess shared a couple of sweet photos from the event on Instagram. “Thank you Archbishop Tutu for your incredibly warm hospitality, Archie loved meeting you!’ – The Duke and Duchess,” they wrote alongside one image, which features Archie receiving a kiss on the forehead from Tutu.

Lovers of all things royal won’t just enjoy seeing photos of the adorable little guy, though — they’re also treated to some rare details about Archie’s temperament. “He constantly wants to stand,” Prince Harry told onlookers, according to People. “He’s an old soul!” his wife added.

The new parents also divulged details on Monday about how Archie handled the long plane ride — because, let’s face it, even royals struggle when traveling with little ones. “He’s not grouchy, just exhausted,” Prince Harry said, according to People, after admitting the flight tired out his son.

But, if comments from the Duke and Duchess are any indication, the couple is handling the challenges of new parenthood incredibly well. When Markle referred to her husband as “the best dad,” the Duke replied, “She’s the best mom,” according to People. Aw!
