'Bachelor' fans cringe over Arie and Bekah's awkward kiss
Every new season of the Bachelor comes with fan favorites and, of course, that one gal who gets on everyone’s nerves. For Season 22, the “villain” is Krystal.
The fitness coach from Montana rubbed fans all wrong last night when she pulled Arie aside, in the middle of the rose ceremony — gasp! They didn’t hold back their feelings about Krystal on Twitter.

But, hey, Krystal’s sneaky move seemed to work; she secured a coveted rose and at least one more week of vying for the Bachelor’s heart — and his diamond.
There was another huge moment from last night’s episode that has been building all season: Arie finally learns Bekah’s age. You’ll remember that from the very beginning, the Bachelor has been mum about the nanny’s real age. We’ve known all along that Bekah is merely 22, 14 years younger than Arie. But last night, the Bachelor himself learned the truth. Awkwardness ensued.
That moment, while extremely dramatic, even for the Bachelor, was nothing compared with when Arie and Bekah locked lips after their intense conversation. Arie slips his fingers through Bekah’s giant hoop earrings, causing fans to collectively hold their breath.
when Arie kisses Bekah and his fingers go through her huge hoop earring & you think her earlobe is doomed….buuuut it turns out fine #TheBachelor pic.twitter.com/oxV5T5KIjP

When Aries finger went through Bekahs earring I saw my life flash before my eyes #thebachelor

Spoiler: Arie got over the age difference and presented Bekah with a rose.
The internet also had feelings about the Oscar nominations released today. The clear frontrunner was The Shape of Water, which picked up 13 nominations. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri scored nine nods, and Dunkirk rounded out the top-three leaders with seven.
But it was the surprises that got the internet talking. Fans have been raving about Jordan Peele’s horror flick, Get Out, for months, and it was honored with four nominations including Best Picture, Lead Actor, and Best Director.
Peele was taken aback by the nominations.

I just spoke to Daniel. You know when you’re on the phone trying to disguise the sound of an ugly cry? I failed at that.

Right now I’m just thinking about everyone who bought a ticket and told someone else to. You did this. Thank you. ?

Fans also praised Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig, who picked up a Best Director nomination. Her honor ended an eight-year all-male streak in that category, and she became only the fifth woman in the Academy’s 90-year history to pick up a best-directing nod.
Still feeling the impact of the Greta Gerwig nomination for a movie about a teen girl. When Bigelow was nominated and won it was a war movie. This is a movie about a girl being seen for who she is. That matters. Excited we will be screening @LadyBirdMovie at @Athenafilmfest.

Greta Gerwig is the fifth woman ever to be nominated for Best Director! If she wins, she'll be the second ever. Go Academy! Finally changing things. (Jordan Peele too!)

The Oscars will air March 4.
