"The Bachelor" star Peter Weber has split with girlfriend Kelley Flanagan.

Weber announced the end of the relationship with "Bachelor" contestant Flanagan in a Dec. 31 Instagram post, with the two looking at a romantic sunset during a hike.

"Love is a funny thing. It can make you feel on top of the world and it can make you feel a pain you wish didn’t exist. I’m here to share that Kelley and I have decided to go our separate ways," Weber wrote. "While our relationship was filled with countless beautiful memories, our relationship simply didn’t work out in the end."

He added that he continues to have a "special love" for Flanagan, "someone who I will always wish all of life’s greatest blessings on."

"These moments in life always hurt, but in my opinion that shows you it was worth the time you spent together," he wrote.

Flanagan has not addressed the split on social media. The lawyer came in fifth place on Weber's season of "The Bachelor."

After Weber's short-lived engagement with "Bachelor" winner Hannah Ann Sluss, and the end of his relationship with runner-up Madison Prewett in March, Weber and Flanagan began dating in April.

A month ago, the professional pilot Weber posted a photo with Flanagan kissing in a airplane cockpit. Flanagan posted a picture canoodling with Weber near an airplane at sunset three weeks ago with the caption, "Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly."
