The Bachelorette: Jenn Tran Named the Star of Season 21
Getting dumped by the Bachelor does have a silver lining: Jenn Tran, who competed on Joey’s just-wrapped season of The Bachelor, will star in the upcoming 21st season of The Bachelorette, ABC has revealed.
The news was announced during Monday’s finale of The Bachelor, which saw Jenn’s ex Joey choose Kelsey to receive his final rose, with the two getting engaged. (Click here for our full finale recap.)

Jenn was one of 32 women vying for Joey’s heart this season on The Bachelor, and she and Joey hit it off right away, enjoying a surfing-themed one-on-one date in Week 3. She made it all the way to the final 6, but Joey sent her home in Week 7, just ahead of hometown dates.
The 26-year-old Vietnamese physician assistant student from Miami now becomes the first Asian American star in Bachelor or Bachelorette history. Jenn “is ready to find love with a man who’s as reliable and thoughtful as she is. When she’s not studying, Tran loves reading, paddleboarding and traveling whenever she has the chance,” per her official Bachelor bio. She’ll start looking for that man when her season of The Bachelorette debuts on ABC this July.
