What if all the fairy tale characters you grew up loving were alive? What if they were real? That is the premise of Once Upon a Time, a show that brought Snow White, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Belle, Captain Hook and so many more to our TV screens long before many of those characters were ever adapted to the big screen. Now, with revivals becoming more and more common, the question of whether this ABC drama could ever return has of course been raised. But is there going to be a Once Upon a Time revival?

Will There Be a Once Upon a Time Revival?

Ginnifer Goodwin is ready to go back to Storybrooke. The actress, who played Mary Margaret Blanchard, aka Snow White in the show that brought fairy tale characters to modern life, spoke about the possibility of a reboot at D23, telling People that “I hear these rumors as well [about a reboot], and I am available if they [want to do that].”

For Goodwin, it’s a family affair, after all, which she rightfully pointed out. “I’d love to go back. My whole life is kind of built around it. I mean, I married Prince Charming. His babies are my babies,” she added, referring of course to husband Josh Dallas, who she met on the Once Upon a Time set. Dallas played David Nolan, aka Prince Charming, her love interest on the show. That on-screen love blossomed into real-life love and the two went on to marry and have two kids. Dallas was later seen in Manifest.

Created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Once Upon a Time ran for seven seasons between 2011 and 2018. It starred Goodwin and Dallas alongside Jennifer Morrison, who played Snow White and Prince Charming’s daughter, Emma Swan. The show also featured Lana Parrilla (The Evil Queen/Regina Mills), Robert Carlyle (Rumplestilskin/Mr. Gold), Jared S. Gilmore (Henry Mills), Emilie de Ravin (Belle) and Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook).

Others have spoken about the possibility of a revival before. Colin O’Donoghue, who played Captain Hook, spoke about it with Collider earlier this year, saying: “I think that the show could definitely go again. I mean, look, it’s a call for Eddie and Adam, really. I’ve spoken to them and a few other people about it, and I think what’s great about Once is I think that you could kind of come back and just pick up where it left off, or whatever that is.”

Goodwin is currently working on Zootopia 2, where she will reprise her role of Judy Hopps.
