This week’s Bad Monkey takes a trip down memory lane to show us where Eve’s husband Nick’s life of crime may have started.
TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at the episode (streaming this Wednesday on Apple TV+), with a flashback to Eve (Meredith Hagner) confronting Nick (Rob Delaney) and shady doctor Israel O’Peele (Zach Braff) about their medical supply company — and why she’s never actually seen a shipment of supplies come in. “This whole f–king thing’s a scam,” she declares, accusing the doc of writing fake prescriptions for patients that don’t exist.

She doesn’t want to get caught up in their mess (“I’m not getting burned”), so she grabs the phone to call the police. Nick tries his best to talk her out of it, but her mind is made up because if “I go to jail, who takes care of Tilly?” (Yes, that’s the tiny Pomeranian she’s clutching to her chest.) Israel pleads that he has a son of his own, but Eve cannot be swayed… and as she dials, Nick contemplates his next move.
