And when the teleprompter experienced a malfunction on Monday, the house band Sixwire got to show off more of its set.
But that was OK for many since people were loving the country music band, which played songs from the Foo Fighters, Cheap Trick, the Doobie Brothers and more.
Sixwire continued to play at the RNC all week.

Teleprompter malfunction at RNC on Monday keeps band going during RNC
A teleprompter malfunction when U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson was speaking on Monday afternoon temporarily paused the proceedings at the RNC inside Fiserv Forum.
But that wasn't an issue for those who wanted to hear more of Sixwire.

Sixwire played Collective Soul, Cheap Trick's "I Want You To Want Me," Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band" as well as songs from the Foo Fighters.
Playing Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band" at RNC. Do they not know the lyrics? Are they just playing songs with the word "American" in it? #GrandFunkRailroad
And now Cheap Tricks' "I Want You to Want Me." #CheapTrick ??#RNC— Jen (@_TweetJen_) July 15, 2024
The house band at #RNC2024 is 6 Wire, out of Nashville. Extremely polished corporate cover band. They opened the week with “Life Is A Highway” & segued right into Foo Fighters’ “Learn To Fly” pic.twitter.com/MSVwrFuowa

Whatever the RNC is paying this cover band, they're earning every single cent while I assume they fix the busted teleprompters. Currently cooking on a Steely Dan cover. Gotta respect it

So happy to have this celebration after one of the darkest days in our country’s history.

Failed teleprompter at RNC Convention leads to cover band having to fill-in, the crowd in spots can’t help but bop along. Good musicians, they’ve been around the block a few times. Maybe they’ll get even more gigs out of this exposure. Name?
