Barb Surprises Dustin, Lucas, and Eleven in ‘Stranger Things’ Mini-Reunion on ‘Chelsea’

There are a lot of characters to love on Stranger Things, but not a single one has been celebrated nearly as much as Barb, the doomed friend of Nancy Wheeler. (Spoiler alert: Barb was killed in Season 1 of the hit Netflix show.) While interviewing Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Chelsea Handler gave them a special surprise: a very much alive Barb, or, as she is known in real life, Shannon Purser.

Bringing out a cake for Matarazzo, who was celebrating his birthday, Purser gave big hugs to her castmates, who were clearly delighted to see her there. In the rest of the Chelsea preview clip, Purser expressed her joy at the whirlwind of Barb love. “I had a great time with the kids and with everybody on the show, and suddenly it blew up and people were tweeting about Barb,” she said happily. “I didn’t think anybody would care, and they did. It’s been awesome.”
