Barron Trump is 18 years old and taller than his mother Melania, who is 5-foot-11 without high heels, and father, President-elect Donald Trump, who is 6-foot-2. The incoming First Son and NYU student stands 6-foot-9.
It was clear just how tall Barron was when he joined his parents on stage in Palm Beach, Florida on Nov. 5, the day of the 2024 presidential election. Dressed up in a suit and tie for the occasion, he appeared far taller than both of his parents.
The height difference within his family has been apparent for years. Pictured below in 2017 during Trump’s first term, the family walked alongside each other outside in Morristown, N.J.; Barron was then 13 years old. Boys around 13 years old on average measure around 5-foot-2 and continue to grow until around 17.

Barron continued to grow, indeed. Now 6-foot-9, he’s not only taller than his peers but taller than the vast majority of the general population. At the age of 18, he might have reached his final adult height, but it’s not uncommon for young people to get a bit taller in their late teens and 20s.
As seen in the photograph from 2017, Barron Trump has sported Nikes in the past. With Donald Trump in office, sneakers and more shoes might see an increase in price because of his tariff plans. Looking at his proposed tariffs, the National Retail Federation deduced that consumers in the U.S. might pay from $6.4 billion to $10.7 billion more a year for shoes.
