The Batman 2 Filming Start Date Window Reportedly Set
Just under two years after the first film debuted in theaters, a report suggests that The Batman: Part II filming start date window has been set for the DC sequel.
World of Reel has said that The Batman: Part II is set to start filming this coming August, with the deadline for the film’s script submission set for February. The rumor was originally reported back in December, though it popped up again today.
The release date for the highly-anticipated follow-up film is still October 3, 2025, though World of Reel’s report notes that this could be changed in the future.
Little is known about the plot of The Batman: Part II so far, though Robert Pattinson is set to return as the titular Dark Knight. The first film did tease the Joker and leave the Riddler alive at Arkham, so one or both of these iconic antagonists could make a return. Just last month, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn debunked a rumor about who the sequel’s villains could be, as well as the possible introduction of Dick Grayson/Robin.
Who starred in The Batman?
The first film, The Batman, stars Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zo? Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Ferrell as Oswald Cobblepot/ Penguin.
