‘Batman v Superman’ International Trailer Offers New Footage
By Jacob Bryant, Variety
The latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer offers glimpses at new footage from the film two weeks before its release.
Many of the scenes featured in the international trailer have appeared in previous looks at the superhero movie — Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor talks about “the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world” as the titular heroes mean mug each other in unfavorable weather — but the teaser also includes a few new scenes.

One shows Ben Affleck’s Batman approaching a desert fortress. It’s been rumored that the movie will include an appearance from one of the biggest bads in the DC universe, Darkseid, and the desert scene in the trailer looks an awful lot like the villain’s home Apokolips. Another scene includes Batman receiving a newspaper clipping with the words “you let your family die” scribbled in red ink. The Joker, played by Jared Leto, will debut later this year in Suicide Squad, but it seems the Clown Prince of Crime will still be toying with the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman.

Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, also gets a bit of new footage. One shot shows the Amazonian walking down a hallway in black leather.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25.
