Beastie Boys Legend Ad-Rock Joins Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis on New Hawk Vs. Wolf Podcast
The relationship between the Beastie Boys and skateboarding culture has been influential for decades, with their music gracing the soundtracks of so many iconic skate videos and the sessions that fueled them.
But hearing the legendary Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz) share his stories on the new Hawk Vs. Wolf podcast really puts it all into perspective in the best way possible. Carve out some time and have a listen below!
If you haven’t listened to the episode yet, you’re in for a treat. Tony Hawk, Jason Ellis, and Beastie Boys legend Ad-Rock dive into Beastie Boys history, touring, meeting The Clash, skateboarding (of course), and so much more.

As always, the stories flow naturally—tons of humor and nostalgia—and if you were a Beastie Boys fan before, well, this episode will only amplify your admiration. And I just have to say... it's pretty rad (humbling?) seeing Tony basically fan out on Ad-Rock throughout the episode. Can you blame him?
But the real cherry on top was having Ad-Rock's son join the conversation for a bit to tell the story of his first time dropping in on Tony's ramp. Honestly, how rad is that? The look on Adam's face is absolutely priceless. Proud dad moment for sure.
I feel like I've already spoiled quite a bit of the episode, though. So I'll stop. Trust me, have a listen and enjoy. Legendary conversation.
