At the center of this riotous romp is the Squonkcordion, an enormous musical instrument powered by behemoth bellows topped with towering tuba bells. At the peak of the performance, Squonk invites the audience to play this foghorn organ, welcoming them to experience the joy of a brass band and the fireworks of community."
Performances take place at 3:30 and 6 p.m. Saturday, with a 4 p.m. Experiential and Interactive Show, too.
Free shuttle service available
Bradys Run Ice Arena
121 Bradys Run Road, Beaver Falls 15010
Parking will be tight in Bridgewater, so event officials recommend people use the free shuttle service.
There are two pickup and drop-off points:
Bradys Run Ice Arena, running to the former Wright car dealership on Route 51. As Route 51 both north and southbound lanes will be closed in that area, foot traffic to the Veterans Memorial Bridge is permitted.
New Brighton Sewage Treatment Facility, 2200 Concord St., New Brighton.
Parking is available in the green space of the treatment facility. The shuttle will drop you off at the Veterans Memorial Bridge Route 65 side.
Shuttles will run from 3 p.m. to 30 minutes after the fireworks are over. The estimated time to catch a shuttle is every 10-15 minutes, traffic pending. There will be a handicap-accessible shuttle at each location, as well as handicap parking spots.
Monaca Riverfront Park activities
As part of Monaca Community Day, there's live entertainment, food trucks and vendors Saturday leading up to the fireworks.
The Monaca Riverfront Park lineup:

Rochester will be a prime spot for pre-fireworks fun, too.

The music starts at noon on the Riverfront Stage with singer-guitarist Rychrd Skynrd, followed at 4:30 p.m. by Silent Partner.
Rochester Riverfront Stage also hosts a Friday concert with New Brighton country artist Dawn Savage, whose "Moonshine" is getting radio airplay, then at 7:30 p.m. classic-rock/outlaw country group The Honky Tonk Heroes.
Bridgewater Summerfest
The southern end of Bridgewater's Riverside Drive also brings live music June 28-29 with Billy The Kid & The Regulators at 8 p.m. June 28, then rockers Right Turn Clyde on the River Stage on June 29 as part of the coinciding Bridgewater Summerfest.
Pods showing the Boom!
"We also have five small pods scattered throughout the county where we are streaming the concert and have bands playing at each one as well," Gretchen D’Atri, assistant director, Beaver County Recreation and Tourism, said.
Those pods:
8:30 p.m. The Goodwill & Big Lots parking lot.

8:30 p.m. Monaca boat launch

Large screen for boats
At last year's Boom on The Bridge!, headlined by country stars Big & Rich, many boaters and kayakers listened to the music from under the Veterans Memorial Bridge.
This year, boaters and kayakers can watch the concert, too, from a large screen hanging off the bridge.
The screen will operate from 4 to 9:30 p.m.
