Ticketmaster says the show will continue without Beenie Man–real name Anthony Moses Davis–and in his place are a “slew of surprise special guests.”
“Due to immigration issues Beenie Man will no longer be able to perform as part of OVO Fest 2016 on Saturday July 30th at TD Echo Beach in Toronto. In his place we have booked a slew of surprise special guests and of course Machel Montano will still headline as planned, with special guests of his own.”
On July 29, the World Health Organization confirmed there are four cases of the Zika Virus in the United States. The virus can be spread through either a mosquito bite or sexually by someone who traveled to an area where the virus is spreading and was bit by a mosquito there.
While there has only been one Zika Virus related death in Salt Lake City, Utah, those infected normally don’t have symptoms, and for those who do the most common are fever, rash, muscle and joint pains as well as headaches. Symptoms usually last anywhere between two and seven days.
Rest up, Beenie Man.
