Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and more on Indianapolis Symphonic Choir's 2024-25 season
The 2024-25 Symphonic Choir season, the first full one for new Executive Director Jennifer Cooper, is chock full of masterpieces and partnerships. The ensemble, for example, will join the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for powerhouse concerts such as Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and George Frideric Handel's "Messiah."
The choir will show off its solo chops with a concert that includes Aaron Copland's "In the Beginning," which tells the Judeo-Christian story of the first days of creation from the Bible's book of Genesis.

'Rhapsody in Blue Celebrates 100 Years'
Oct. 11-12 at Hilbert Circle Theatre, 45 Monument Circle
The choir will perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Jack Everly in this tribute to George Gershwin.
Handel's 'Messiah'
Dec. 19 at the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts, 1 Carter Green in Carmel
The beloved classic returns again under the direction of Artistic Director Eric Stark. The Indianapolis Symphony will perform with the choir.
'Festival of Carols'
Dec. 20-22 at the Palladium. Dec. 23 at the Schrott Center for the Arts at Butler University, 610 W. 46th St.
The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra will perform with the choir and special guests, including Ol’ Saint Nick, Bruno Sandes and Debby Knox.

'Voices of the Spirit: An American Celebration'
April 12, 2025, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church
The program focuses on promise, hope and faith with works including Aaron Copland’s "In the Beginning," Margaret Bonds' "Credo" and Leonard Bernstein’s "Chichester Psalms."
'Peace on Earth: Beethoven’s 9th'
June 20-21, 2025, at Hilbert Circle Theatre
The Indianapolis Symphony and its new Music Director Jun M?rkl will join the choir to perform the masterpiece. Also on the program is Arnold Schoenberg’s "Friede auf Erden (Peace on Earth)."
