Here's what you didn't see when "The Golden Bachelorette" men bared it all for Joan on the group date.

This week on The Golden Bachelorette, nine of Joan's suitors were surprised with a very sexy group date activity: Performing a Chippendales-style striptease for a live audience, all in support of Stand Up To Cancer.

While Bachelor Nation watched this senior spectacle unfold on TV, I witnessed the entire thing live on set at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood while reporting my cover story for Entertainment Weekly. (It was truly one of those "they pay me to do this???" days, tbh.)

While filming the date took several hours, only about 12 minutes made it into the episode. Here, rose lovers, are a few things you didn't see on TV from the Golden Bachelorette's "Bare it All for Cancer" revue.

Everyone's a Winner

Often in the Bachelor franchise, group dates that involve a performance end with the lead picking a "winner" — and that was originally the case with this Golden outing, too. When the men first arrived, emcee (and former Bachelorette) Kaitlyn Bristowe told them that the person who did the best job “letting it all out” on stage would earn extra alone time with Joan. (“We don’t have to let it all out, right?” one of the men asked nervously, and everyone laughed.)

In the end, though, the guys all did such a good job strutting their stuff, Joan couldn't bring herself to crown a winner. Ultimately, she decided to award them all MVP status. "I was supposed to choose one, and I was, like, tortured," she told me after the performance. "They all gave so much. When [producers] told me, 'You don’t have to choose one,' I was like, 'Oh, thank you!' I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings."

In addition to teaching the guys how to do signature striptease moves like "the body roll" and "the shampoo," Chippendales dancer/senior strip instructor RK also gave the men a few pointers on how to make the most of their solo time on the catwalk. He encouraged them to strut down the runway with confidence while working the crowd, adding that they should be sure to pause at the end to deliver a memorable "moment" when they get in front of Joan. His advice: "If you see a camera, don’t be a ham sandwich."

Mark chose the sexy firefighter get-up for his performance, and when it came time to strip down, he really struggled — like, for several excruciating seconds — to get the jacket off. Still, the 57-year-old Army veteran persisted, eventually shedding the offending garment and continuing his performance. Keith, meanwhile, donned the construction worker costume, which came complete with a tool belt. Once he got to the end of the runway in front of Joan, he dropped the tool belt — and then made a big show of turning around to pick it up, all the while waggling his behind cheekily in Joan's face.

As he mentioned in the episode, Keith used to fantasize about being a Chippendales dancer when he was younger — and he even dressed like a construction worker at a costume party when he was young. "Thirty years ago, I was on a houseboat trip, and I dressed in almost the same exact outfit – it was just a dress-up night," he told EW. "I was totally stoked to be in that outfit again, but I put it on and I was like, 'I don’t look like I did 30 years ago.'"

Pish-posh, sir — you looked great.

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
