Bella Thorne Wears Trending Strappy Sandals at San Diego Comic Con

More from Footwear News

Bella Thorne made an appearance for the ??”The Tower” press line Friday night at San Diego Comic Con in a pair of strappy sandals that served as a compliment to a hipster-themed outfit. Crafted with leather, the shoes boasted multiple straps that criss-crossed on the upper region. The toe box also consisted of a slightly triangular design that further served as a compliment to the straps on the front.

The back of her stilettos couldn’t be seen completely due to the extended length of her jeans, but the actress has previously worn sandals with heel heights between 4-to-5 inches, so it’s likely her footwear choice for San Diego Comic Con was between that range as well.

For the event, Thorne chose a pair of high-waisted fitted denim jeans that flared at the bottom, and a cropped “Deadpool” muscle tank that showed off her midriff. Tying her hair back into a bun, she kept her accessories and makeup neutral. Strappy sandals are a footwear style that has been around for decades, dating back to the early 1900s and going through many variations over the years. Strappy sandals can come in many different forms, including peep-toe designs, and have been praised for their versatility and ability to work well with a variety of outfits.

Many brands such as Chanel, Stuart Weitzman and Christian Louboutin carry strappy sandals as a part of their footwear lineup, offering the style in many different iterations.

As for Thorne’s personal footwear style, she’s been known to wear other elevated styles such as pumps and platforms. A recent example was the 70th Taormina Film Festival earlier this month, where she was spotted wearing a pair of classic white pumps that lengthened her legs and featured a pointed-toe design. Those shoes were also completed by a slender stiletto heel between 4-to-5 inches.
