Ben Affleck Is Allegedly Worried About Jennifer Lopez’s Reaction to All the ‘Hot Women Blowing up His Phone'
Despite Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez being broken up for months, insiders allege that Affleck still feels controlled by Lopez, so much so that it’s affecting his dating life.
Insiders recently told InTouch Weekly that the exes are playing civil, but Affleck seemingly wants to fight back at her claims. However, he’s allegedly “living in fear” of her amid their divorce proceedings.

“Because there’s no prenup, the divorce, and how smoothly it goes, is going to depend on them playing nice. Which means Ben’s got no choice but to try and be as civilized with J. Lo as possible,” they said. “The frustration with that from his point of view is that he’s being held back from having fun and enjoying himself because he can’t risk pissing J. Lo off.”
Because of this, Affleck is allegedly “living in fear” of Lopez, which is why he made “such a big point” to “deny” dating rumors about him and Kick Kennedy so quickly.
However, despite denying it so quickly and working on his health, this fear has led him to reportedly “putting a halt” on dating plans.
“His big complaint in their marriage was how controlling she was, so you can just imagine how upsetting it is for him that she’s essentially still controlling him,” they said. “If he doesn’t behave the way she wants, she’ll sink her fangs in and make it all that much more miserable.” (This checks out, considering insiders also claimed that Lopez is allegedly willing to spend big on lawyers in order to not pay out Affleck.)
“He really wants to rip the band-aid off and get out there and start having fun again,” the source continued to the outlet. “He’s got so many hot women blowing up his phone but he’s gun shy because he can’t risk upsetting J.Lo. He’s fully aware it’s just playing into her hands, but what choice does he have right now.”
So, it seems this divorce may not be so publicly messy, and we have oe question: who are these ladies? And is Affleck going to be ready sooner, rather than later, when it comes to dating again?
For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002.
In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.
Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. Then, after months of speculation, per TMZ, Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, noting the date of separation is April 26, 2024.
