Ben Affleck confronts paparazzi as he leaves his and Jennifer Lopez’s house amid divorce rumors — here’s what he said
Don’t mess with Ben.
Ben Affleck went off on a group of paparazzi who were taking pictures of the actor as he was driving away from his and Jennifer Lopez’s $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
The “Justice League” star, 51, drove down the hill from his house and onto the main road, where the photographers were waiting for him. As they flashed away, Affleck slammed on the brakes, put the car in reverse, and got out to confront them, as seen in a TMZ video.
“Listen, man, you’re going to get me in an accident,” Affleck said to one of the paparazzi.
“I understand,” the photographer could be heard replying.
Affleck — with his wedding ring on his finger — continued: “Don’t flash your lights as I’m driving down the driveway. Don’t do that. That’s dangerous. You don’t even know if that’s me. You could cause an accident.”
As the “Pearl Harbor” star walked back towards his car, another photographer resumed taking pictures of him, causing Affleck to lash out again.
“Stop, man. It’s dangerous what you guys are doing,” he said while shaking his head. “Do you understand? I can’t see. You’re going to get somebody hurt doing this s – – t.”
Affleck headed to his car, but then briefly turned around and said to the paparazzi, “Jesus Christ, my daughter’s coming down here. If you flash your lights on her, you’re putting her in danger. Do you understand that?”
“I understand, Ben,” a person behind the video camera could be heard saying to Affleck.
The Oscar winner then drove away.
On Saturday, Affleck went to lunch with his daughter Violet, 18, at the Tasty Noodle restaurant in Los Angeles, according to Page Six. He shares Violet, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Affleck wasn’t wearing his wedding ring for the lunch date.
Meanwhile, Affleck’s wife has been vacationing without him in Europe. Lopez, 54, was photographed on a boat with friends in Positano, Italy, last week.
The couple, who were initially together from 2002 to 2004, are dealing with rumored marital issues after getting back together in 2021 and tying the knot the following year.
The rumors began in May when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala solo. Then, it was reported that Affleck is staying at a separate house from Lopez.
The couple’s $60 million Beverly Hills mansion was also listed on Zillow earlier this month.
Before that, an insider told Page Six that Affleck had “come to his senses” about their marriage.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” said the source. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
The stars have not directly addressed the rumors about their relationship.
Lopez even made it a point to praise Affleck on Father’s Day on June 19.
The mother of two called Affleck her “hero” with an old photo of her husband.
