Ben Affleck reportedly ends fling with Shauna Sexton days after romantic getaway
Ben Affleck’s love life is puzzling fans.
The Justice League star, who is over 40 days sober, enjoyed a post-rehab vacation in Montana over the weekend with Shauna Sexton. Affleck, 46, was linked to the 22-year-old Playboy model days before he checked himself into treatment for alcohol addiction. It was surprising to see the pair seemingly take their relationship to the next level with the trip. She even documented it on social media — which is interesting, given his penchant for privacy.

So are things getting serious for the maybe-couple? It’s murky, but we’re going with “no.”
People posted dueling stories online Tuesday, with one declaring that Affleck is enjoying the “easy and casual romance.” An hour later, a different article ran claiming he had ended the fling.
“He enjoyed being with her but is working on himself, and being together with her at this time is not something that works,” a source told the magazine. “He will date in the future, but for now his focus is on his sobriety, family, and his next project.”
Entertainment Tonight also reports that the pair has split.
Affleck and Sexton’s getaway came one day after the Oscar winner finalized his divorce from Jennifer Garner. It wouldn’t come as a big surprise if she was an encouraging force behind Affleck choosing to focus on his sobriety rather than jumping into a new relationship.
Reportedly, the 46-year-old actress wasn’t a huge fan of her ex-husband’s fling. It doesn’t seem as if his family was too supportive either. While in rehab, Sexton was seen driving Affleck’s car around L.A. and was even rumored to be staying at his house occasionally. Affleck’s mom, meanwhile, opted to stay with Garner and their three kids.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Affleck and Sexton’s relationship has “been challenging for everyone who is trying to help him through this process.”
“He has been told to hold off on a relationship … but isn’t heeding that advice. His closest friends hoped he was just dating her and would break it off after going to rehab, but he seems to get closer to her every day,” the source said. “The more time Ben seems to spend with Shauna, the more he seems to want to go home.”
The insider continued, “Shauna has been a strong support for him by attending his family sessions and listening to the advice, but she doesn’t seem willing to give him the space he needs to stay in rehab.”
Although Sexton is not sober, she fired back at critics last month who insinuated that she had something to do with his third trip to rehab.
“I love to drink and party! Absolutely dude. Most 22 year olds do,” she said on Instagram, replying to someone’s comment on a post. “Never drank around or with him for the record. Do these mistakes mean I would disrespect someone’s hard-earned sobriety by drinking with them or in front of them? Hell no. I have limitless respect for those who take action and actually do something about it.”
Sexton has yet to comment on social media regarding the breakup reports.
