Benedict Cumberbatch Saved a Man from Muggers
Benedict Cumberbatch plays heroes and crimefighters in movies and on TV. Apparently, his day jobs have rubbed off on him. The Sherlock and Doctor Strange star reportedly came to the rescue of a delivery cyclist in London when he spotted the man being attacked by four muggers.
Wow. Just...wow.
Uber driver Manuel Dias, who was literally driving Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie Hunter, to a club when the alleged incident occurred, told The Sun about the heroic act.
"I was taking Benedict and his wife to a club-but I didn’t know it was him at first. I went to turn down into Marylebone High Street and we saw four guys were pushing around a Deliveroo cyclist," he said. "My passenger jumped out, ran over and pulled the men away. They turned towards him and things looked like getting worse, so I joined in. He stood there instructing them in the street, shouting, 'Leave him alone.'"

Yep. Cumberbatch was literally like, "Stop the Uber" and then proceeded to go real-life superhero on the muggers.
"They tried to hit him but he defended himself and pushed them away. He wasn’t injured. Then I think they also re-cognized it was Be-ne-dict and ran away," Dias said of the incident, which went down on just around the corner from Baker Street, where Cumberbatch's famous character, Sherlock Holmes, resides.
"Benedict was courageous, brave and selfless," the Dias said. "If he hadn’t stepped in the cyclist could have been seriously injured."
Just one more reason to love Cumberbatch.
