The Best Dressed Stars in LACMA Art + Film Gala History
Celebrities will gather at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s 2024 Art+Film Gala on Saturday to honor artist Simone Leigh and filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. The star-studded celebration is co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow, and Gucci is the presenting sponsor of the annual event.
Over the years, the show’s red carpet has seen many high-fashion moments. Ahead of this year’s gala, which raises funds for the museum’s film-related exhibitions, acquisitions and educational programming, we look back at the best style moments on the LACMA Art+Film Gala red carpet through the years.

In 2022, Janelle Monáe went vintage with a two-toned, black and white Gucci dress that was covered in sequins and featured cutouts along her sleeve and diagonally across the bodice. She accessorized with a sparkling leaf-shaped crown, stacked pearls, diamond rings and a black clutch with diamonds.
