Swifties have an undying love for the global icon. Taylor Swift’s music, lyrics, and documentaries strike a chord with her fanbase (which is massive), making her one of the most beloved pop stars. With Eras tour grabbing headlines, there is no stopping the singer-songwriter. Even her documentaries have received a lot of love from her fans.

However, did you know she has also dipped her toes in the acting world? Indeed, Taylor Swift has starred in a handful of movies. If you are a Swiftie, you probably already know this. Here’s a list of some of the best movies that Taylor Swift has starred in that you must watch as soon as possible. These movies showcase her singing talent and give you a peek into her acting prowess.

1.  Valentine’s Day

Taylor Swift made her acting debut in 2010 with “Valentine’s Day.” She even wrote and recorded “Today Was a Fairytale” as the movie’s soundtrack. Moreover, the song was her first number-one single on the Canadian Hot 100.

The movie also starred Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, and Jennifer Garner. The film shows the intertwining storylines of a group of Los Angelinos as they find their way through romance over one fine Valentine’s Day. Taylor Swift was paired with Taylor Lautner for the movie.

2. Cats

Taylor Swift is well-known for her love of cats. With three feline companions of her own, the pop star is a proud cat mom and doesn’t shy away from publicly expressing her love for them. No wonder she starred in the movie based on the 1982 Broadway musical. She plays the role of Bombalurina in this 2019 film. The story revolves around how an abandoned cat discovers a new life after stumbling into the world of the Jellicles.

3. The Giver

The movie stars Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes, Brenton Thwaites, Jeff Bridges, and Alexander Skarsgard, along with Taylor Swift as Rosemary. It shows how a young boy living in the new world has high hopes for the future. After he becomes the keeper of memories for his community, he makes a surprising decision that can change the community’s motive forever.

4. All Too Well: The Short Film

The movie, written and directed by Taylor Swift, shows the pop icon at the end, taking over from Sadie Sink, who acted as her younger self. The short film shows how a young man and woman fall in love but slowly drift apart when they encounter problems in their relationship.

5. The Lorax

This 2012 American animated musical fantasy comedy film was a box-office success. Taylor Swift voiced the part of the young and enthusiastic Audrey in the movie. The animated story is about a 12-year-old boy looking to impress Audrey. However, he must first know the story of Lorax, a charming creature, to impress the lady of his dreams.

6. Amsterdam

Taylor Swift portrays Liz Meekins in this 2022 movie. Although her role was short, she played an important part in the film. It follows three friends who witness a murder but somehow become suspects. These friends then come together to uncover one of the most outrageous plots in American history to clear their names.

7. New Girl

While not a movie, we thought this sitcom deserved a mention. Taylor Swift’s cameo appearance in the finale of the Fox hit “New Girl” as Elaine changed the course of the show. She shows up in the season 2 episode, “Elaine’s Big Day,” during the wedding of Cece and Shivrang as the latter’s ex-girlfriend.

At the altar, Shivrang confesses his feelings for Elaine, leading to the wedding being called off and Shivrang leaving with Elaine. You must catch this episode if you are a Swiftie because Taylor Swift has her “Speak Now” moment. The scene was quite iconic, in our opinion!

Apart from these movies, Taylor Swift even appeared for a brief moment in “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and “CSI.” So, Swifties, if you have left out any of her movies, now is the time to watch them (or give them a re-watch if you have seen these already).
