Thanksgiving may be over, but dreams of warm apple pies, and yams laden with burnt marshmallows are still dancing around in my head.
I have a massive sweet tooth, so the dessert table at any holiday function is my bread and butter (or rather, cake and icing?).
But before my tummy makes way for Christmas cookies and Panettone, I can confidently say the apple pie from Anna Banana's Bakery was the best thing I ate this week.

I felt like a kid walking into a candy shop (half of it actually is a candy shop) when I entered to see fresh-baked cupcakes, cookies and muffins. (I tried the deliciously moist orange cranberry muffin made with fresh cranberries.)
But the star of the show that day was the over 2-pound apple crumb pie, made with fresh apples, 1? pounds of homemade cake crumb, a specialty mixture of sugar, cinnamon and other spices, and hand-rolled pie dough.
Owner Jessica Errico also showcased a caramel apple crumb galette with dulce de leche drizzle. But the sweetest part of all? The mini apple pie I took home with me. While it might not be a whopper like the 2-pounder, this adorable little treat was the perfect size.
