‘Better Things’ Season 3 Trailer: Pamela Adlon’s Been Under A Lot Of Stress Lately – Gasp
Sam’s back, and so are her bickering and profane offspring: “There’s mean-girl issues with my youngest and birth control with my oldest. And then cruelty from my middle daughter.” Yup, sounds like a new round of Better Things, FX’s comedy series written and directed by its star, Pamela Adlon.
But don’t price it yet — here’s what else you’ll receive with Season 3: clothes that somehow became too tight, “fun mom” crashing a go kart, prayers to the porcelain lord, the expat Brit mother with “a mental something disorder” and, as Sam recounts to a rather stunning physician: “I am definitely going through menopause yet I still get my period and I have a beard.”

Adlon has earned Outstanding Actress Emmy noms for playing single mom and working actor Sam Fox in each of the show’s first two seasons. As the press notes have stated since Better Things was ordered to series in 2015: At the end of the day, Sam’s just trying to earn a living, navigate her daughters’ lives, survive her family, have fun with a friend or two and maybe squeeze in some private time. Yeah, good luck with all that.
Mikey Madison, Hannah Alligood, Olivia Edward and Celia Imrie all are back for Season 3, which kicks off February 28 on FX. Have a look at the trailer above, pity poor Sam, and tell us what you think.
