“I want you to try something for the first time,” Queen Bey continues in the video, which later shows the Grammy-winning icon holding a bottle of SirDavis and walking alongside a horse. “Satisfy your curiosity. Make it a night to remember. Lock eyes with the unknown and toast to the new. And when the dust settles, let the memories pour.”

Beyoncé teamed up with Mo?t Hennessy and master distiller Bill Lumsden for the superstar’s SirDavis whisky release, which is both blended and bottled in Bey’s own state of Texas. The latest celebrity booze brand to hit shelves, SirDavis became available to preorder in August and officially went on sale in stores and online Sept. 4, 2024, the same day as Beyoncé’s birthday.
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” Beyoncé said in a statement about SirDavis in August. “When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy.”
Fans can now pick it up on sites like ReserveBar online starting at $89.99 per bottle, and across the country at select shops and airports.

Now available online, the sherry cask-finished SirDavis whisky features 51 percent rye and 49 percent malted barley. Pour a glass and, according to the brand’s description, expect a “tangy Seville orange” aroma, flavors like “buttery toffee” along with “cinnamon, clove, and classic rye spice up front.” The finish, meantime, includes “hints of honey,” something which the brand highlighted in a cocktail recipe dubbed the “Honey Bee.”
“Intentional design elements tell the story of SirDavis and honor Davis Hogue, Knowles-Carter’s great-grandfather, who was a farmer and moonshiner, and after whom the brand is named,” a press release explains. SirDavis‘ stylish ribbed bottle, meantime, takes its design cues from “the Art Deco style of Hogue’s era.” The new spirit also stands out from other bottles on the market with its “elegant mouthfeel and texture reminiscent of Japanese and scotch whiskies,” per a release.
Even though many fans are likely still waiting to get their hands on a bottle, SirDavis has already earned several awards in the spirits world, including a Best in Class award at the 2023 SIP Awards, and won gold at the 2023 New York International Spirits Competition.
Outside of the spirits world, Beyoncé launched her haircare company Cécred earlier this year. Shortly after, she followed up her massively successful Renaissance Tour and album of the same name with the release of Cowboy Carter in March, featuring the chart-topping single “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Beyoncé’s latest studio album also includes duets with everyone from Dolly Parton to Shaboozey to Post Malone, and features Linda Martell, Miley Cyrus, Brittney Spencer, Tanner Addell, and more artists.

“Like everything Beyoncé has done, specifically in the last decade of her career, Cowboy Carter is a college dissertation of an album: richly researched and meticulously constructed,” Rolling Stone described the album in our review, dubbing the LP an instant classic.
SirDavis is now available to pick up online at ReserveBar and Caskers, and in stores (if you can find it before it sells out).
