Bhool Bhulaiyaa began in 2007, with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan taking the lead roles. The movie made millions and is, to date, a horror comedy classic in India. After over a decade, the film franchise continued, with Kartik Aaryan taking the lead seat in 2022. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 became a massive blockbuster in the post-pandemic era, making Aaryan a highly bankable star. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is currently in production and bringing back Vidya Balan as the OG Manjulika.

Following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the movie makers announced the third installment in March last year. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was announced with Kartik Aaryan as he revealed that he cannot only talk to ghosts, but ghosts can enter his body as well. Check out the announcement here:

Kartik Aaryan announces Vidya Balan’s return to Bhool Bhulaiyaa film franchise

Kartik Aaryan recently took to his Instagram handle to announce Vidya Balan’s association with Bhool Bhuliayaa 3. The actress played the role of Avni and Manjulika in the 2007 film and left the viewers amazed by her brilliant performance. She indeed aced the two roles and created the horrific environment in the movie.

Sharing a clip from Mere Dholnaa, Kartik Aaryan wrote, “And it’s happening. Og Manjulika is coming back to the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Super thrilled to welcome @balanvidya. This Diwali is going to be crackling BhoolBhuliayaa3.”
