Some of President Biden’s top Hollywood supporters are lauding him amid his decision to end his reelection bid.

Biden announced in a series of social media posts on Sunday that he was dropping out of the 2024 White House race, saying it was in the “best interest of my party and the country.” He endorsed Vice President Harris to become the Democratic Party’s nominee.

Barbra Streisand, a longtime Democratic supporter and fundraiser, said on the social platform X that Biden would “go down in history as a man who accomplished significant achievements in his four year term.”

“We should be grateful for his upholding of our democracy,” the Academy Award winner and “Funny Girl” star said.

“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill, who in May heaped praise on Biden during an appearance in the White House briefing room, said Sunday that the 81-year-old commander in chief’s record of accomplishments remains “unmatched by any president in our lifetime.”

“He restored honesty, dignity & integrity to the office after four years of lies, crime, scandal & chaos,” Hamill said, in a dig at former President Trump.

“It’s now our duty as patriotic Americans to elect the Democrat who will honor and further your legacy,” Hamill told his followers.

Cardi B, who in June criticized Democrats, saying it was “very selfish” of the party to “allow Biden to continue to run for president” and that they should “pass the torch to Kamala,” weighed in on his decision to step down.

“Ahahahaha let’s gooooo I told ya’ll Kamala was supposed to be the 2024 candidate,” the “Up” rapper wrote in an all caps social media message.

Cher, a fierce Trump critic who campaigned for Biden in 2020, looked toward the future following the president’s announcement: “[Democratic] Party must ‘really,’ ‘really’ think outside the box,” the “Believe” singer said.
