‘Big Brother 25’ power rankings: ‘Fugitives’ Matt, Jag and Cameron are sitting pretty in Top 10

It’s crazy to think that two weeks ago when we published our first “Big Brother 25” power rankings of the season at the Top 11 we were facing a double eviction. But here we are refreshing those thoughts with 10 players still in the house and one hoping to not be the last evicted pre-jury. Since the last time we checked in, Cameron Hardin has gone from backdoor evictee to BB Zombie to “Do or Die” winner to Head of Household for the third time. Also in that time: Jared Fields has been permanently evicted, Cory Wurtenberger and America Lopez have a target on their back where there previously wasn’t one, and Mecole Hayes is now a first-time nominee.

After Tuesday night’s Power of Veto comp which Cameron won, the HOH was presented with the predicament of whether he keep his target on Felicia Cannon or instead shift his focus to Cory who is a smart player, has been getting cocky with his game, and was well-connected in the house through small side alliances.

Below, read our second power rankings of the season for the Top 10 as we consider how the week might finish and which of Cameron’s two plans he’ll put into execution on Thursday night. We included racetrack odds of each player according to Gold Derby user predictions as of this writing.

SEE Why is ‘Big Brother’ called ‘Big Brother’? Name meaning explained

1. Matt Klotz (59/20 odds)
2. Jag Bains
(19/2 odds)
3. Cameron Hardin
(13/1 odds)

A few weeks ago, we placed Matt and Jag in the middle of the pack as it seemed that America and Cory were the more dominant duo in the aftermath of Jared and Cirie’s game getting blown up. At the time, Matt and Jag were perfectly placed in the middle of a few alliances, but it was unclear if they’d ever secure the power to make the decisions they wanted to make. Now, the story is very different. With Cameron back in the house and Jared permanently gone, the guys have brought Cameron in for a new “The Fugitives” alliance. Cameron’s status as HOH means the three of them get to make the important decision of who is the final houseguest to not make jury, leaving only those people in the house who they feel would be most likely to potentially vote for them to win. In his initial noms, Cameron had pegged Felicia as that player that needed to go, but the guys also considered a backdoor option on Cory.

Ultimately, Cameron’s decision is a personal gamble about whether he take out a jury threat player or someone who could win comps and prevent him from getting to the end. Either decision will leave Matt e in the best position of the alliance. Matt’s connection to Cirie gives him a lifeline to the “other side” of the house that neither of the other two have. With so many wins under his belt, Cameron is going to be a house target any week he isn’t HOH and somehow Jag has managed to burn more bridges than any of them, specifically with Cirie.

4. Cirie Fields (9/1 odds)

Following a series of unfortunate moves (like targeting and evicting her own alliance members for eviction early on), Jared leaving the game was the best thing that could have happened for Cirie’s game. With Jared gone, Cirie is no longer seen as more loyal to one person than anyone else and doesn’t have the firm grasp on a large alliance (or alliances) that she was exposed to have. In that regard, the house sees her as much less harmful to their personal games and they may even begin to see her as a free agent ready to be picked up as an extra vote. That is the power of Cirie and why she is so incredibly dangerous in these games — count her out once and you’ve only fooled yourself. No connection in the house right now is more important or pivotal than the one that Cirie and Matt have because they are essentially working from opposing sides of the house, but share targets (like Cory) and legitimately still trust one another. We think Matt will manage to keep Cirie safe long enough for her to be in striking distance of dividing Matt from “The Fugitives” and setting a path for them to be final two together.

5. America Lopez (11/2 odds)
6. Cory Wurtenberger (5/1 odds)

Two weeks ago, “Americory” (as they’re called in and out of the house) were looking unstoppable. America wielded a ton of power in her ability to manipulate the guys around her (Cory, Matt, and Jag) in the eviction of Izzy Gleicher as a strike she wanted to make against Cirie. Then, Cory was able to win a crucial HOH in the double eviction episode and secured an alliance with Matt, Jag and Blue that would see the five of them soar through the rest of the game as the likely challenge winners from there on out. Then Scary Week commenced and all the work they had put in for two weeks came to a crashing, reversal of fortune halt. With Cameron considering the option of backdooring Cory out now while he has the chance, it shows that the “The Fugitives” are already flirting with the idea of working against him. Blue and Cirie are also still aiming their own sites on Cory as vengeance for Jared’s eviction so there is heat coming at the showmance from all directions.

7. Felicia Cannon (100/1 odds)

Look, it’s not feeling like Felicia has a chance in Scary-verse of avoiding eviction this week, but in the off chance that she does survive, she should be in a semi-comfortable position as other bigger targets begin to take on heat again. Felicia also has more of a chance at winning than some people in the house that aren’t even nominated for eviction, mainly because she’s done enough in the game to make a compelling argument that she deserves a juror’s vote. Cameron is coming for Felicia not because she’s a floater, but because she’s a social threat and has strong opinions of how the game is played. If Felicia stays, her biggest test will be letting past grievances fall by the wayside and finding a way to move forward with people who have wronged her — if she can do that, there’s a chance for her to get to the end. It’s a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.

8. Blue Kim (75/1 odds)
9. Bowie Jane (80/1 odds)
10. Mecole Hayes
(13/2 odds)

Blue, Bowie and Mecole move all the way down in our assessment for one simple reason: no one is listening to them. It boils down to the idea that they’re probably the best “goats” left in the game and everyone will want to sit next to on finale night. That’s great for any of their chances at getting to the end (most likely third place), but terrible for their ability to make a case to actually be crowned the winner. Blue has done more strategic work than Bowie or Mecole have, but still has the cloud of her showmance with Jared hanging over her. Prior to the showmance she was house bestie to Jag, but that became fractured in the big alliance shake up. Now Blue is “working with” Cameron, Jag and Matt, but it’s clear that they’re making the plans and she and Bowie are just doing their bidding.

Mecole has stayed under the radar all season, but this week her closeness to Felicia was put on blast. If Felicia leaves, Mecole will be stranded without a strong ally to work and strategize with. At that point, her only option will be to bring some of the women together (Cirie, Blue, Bowie) to help the guys (Jag, Cameron, Matt) target the Cory and America duo. If the women can manage to stick together, they would have a numbers advantage over the guys and could potentially wrestle control of the game away from them permanently.
