8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In the 36th episode, the Final 4 houseguests reflected on Kimo’s elimination, and then it was time to anoint a new Head of Household. Chelsie won the question-and-answer competition, her fourth time having the HOH key this summer. She put Makensy and Cam on the chopping block, but everyone knew that the real power this week came in the form of the Veto holder, as they would be casting the sole vote to evict. So who won the Veto, and who was ousted from the game? Let’s go!
8:03 p.m. – With only one round left in the Veto comp, Cam and Makensy had to be quicker than the other in order to claim the most important prize of the season so far. Cam had narrowed the answer down to two numbers, but guessed the wrong one first which gave Makensy the window to guess the correct number first and win the final Veto.
8:06 p.m. – Chelsie was happy with Makensy’s win because it put the responsibility in her hands to make the tough decision of making one of the last evictions. Rubina wasn’t too worried because she believed that Makensy would follow through on the plan to have an all female final three while Cam was a bit bummed because he wanted to claim the win and knew that the power was out of his hands. In their first conversation, Makensy admitted to Chelsie that she’s not sure what she’s going to do because she has the fear that Cam has “done better than Rubina,” making him a threat in the final comps.
8:12 p.m. – Meanwhile from the jury house, the jurors were disappointed to welcome Kimo as their newest housemate and instead were hoping to see Chelsie or Makensy because of how strong of a game they’re playing. When they saw the video of the BB Comics comp result, they expected Cam to be the winner, but when he was revealed to not even place in the top they were convinced that he’s throwing comps because they think he should have won that. Based on all of Makensy’s wins, the vibe in the house was that she will be very difficult to beat in the end. That being said, they also see Chelsie as the “mob boss” of the season.
8:20 p.m. – Season 25 winner Jag Bains stopped by to share his hot takes on this cast with Julie. He said he really enjoyed the BB Arena phase of the game and called Makensy evicting Leah the worst move of the season, but then called Chelsie’s manipulation of Makensy that week the best move. He thinks that Rubina has a unique position in the game because she has two friends on the jury, called Cam an “enigma” with an uphill battle ahead of him, sees Chelsie’s game as “really strong,” and believes Makensy has a strong resume that will come down to who she sits next to. Overall, his prediction is that Chelsie will be the winner.
8:34 p.m. – Hoping to save herself, Rubina made a final pitch to Makensy that they both really want to see it three women in the final three, but also pointed out that if she leaves Cam in the final three then it’s likely he takes Chelsie with her. To that end, Rubina promised that if it’s her choice she will go to the end with Makensy over Chelsie. Makensy liked hearing that and also thinks that Rubina will be easier to beat in the end than Cam anyway. But later when she talked to Chelsie, they discussed that Rubina has a strong story in front of the jury while Cam looks like they carried him to the end. Chelsie also wanted to be clear that Rubina has two people on jury supporting her, but Cam does not.
8:37 p.m. – Later, Makensy was honest with Cam about the difficulty of her decision because of how close he is with Chelsie. Cam said that it might actually be a good look for him in the end to take out Chelsie and go with Makensy to the end because he needs to add that to his resume. Makensy wasn’t sure that she believed what Cam was saying so she still needed to think about her decision.
8:45 p.m. – For the live Veto meeting and eviction, Makensy made her decision publicly to remove herself from the block and then cast the sole vote to evict Rubina. She explained that she came into the house wanting to be loyal and that she had to stay true to the people that played the game alongside her.
8:50 p.m. – Rubina told Julie that she wasn’t that surprised because the last few weeks it felt like the others had a final three deal, but she hoped that the all female thing could sway her. She also said that she was honest when she told Makensy she’d take her to the end if it was her decision and that it became easier for her to focus on the game once Tucker was evicted.
