‘Big Brother 26’s’ Lisa on her eviction: ‘Shellshocked is an understatement’
Thursday’s “Big Brother 26” eviction delivered the rare double blindside: Angela was blindsided by her safety and Lisa Weintraub was blindsided by her eviction as both expected the former to get the boot. Instead, it was the chef who went home by an 11-1 vote. “Shellshocked is an understatement. Blindsided, dumbfounded. What just happened?!” Lisa tells Gold Derby. “I mean, that’s ‘Big Brother’ for you. Expect the unexpected.”
Lisa was “100 percent” convinced that Angela was getting evicted because of all the chaos she’s caused the past two weeks. The other houseguests told Lisa all week she was safe — and she believed them, especially Tucker, who reassured her the most. Little did Lisa know that she was HOH Chelsie‘s target and that Tucker wanted her out more than anyone and volunteered as a pawn to win the AI Arena to ensure they could evict Lisa.

“The houseguests are really good at what they do. All week — the words, the reassurance, the conversations I walked into, the feelings of the hugs and the words of encouragement the morning of. There was no inclination that I would even be considered based off of everything that I had experienced that week leading up to even Tucker winning the AI competition,” she shares. “We discussed in the storage room right before we went and additionally the days before as well, but we said his win was my win, my win was his win kind of thing, that we were on the same team. And even during the eviction ceremony, he looked at me and he was like, ‘You’re good, you’re good.’ So there was nothing in my mind body or soul [thinking] that I would be going home.”
Even though the game is built on deception and manipulation, Lisa did not suspect that the houseguests were lying to her face, which is ironic since was lying to them about her vote for Matt last week. “You know what? They did a really good job lying to me,” she says. “I want to know when it happened — if it was the plan all along and I was just lied to by Chelsie, the HOH. Here are my theories. I don’t know if it was the plan all along and I was the target, so when they were talking about someone else being the target, they were actually talking about me and if the one-on-ones in her room were about a contingency plan about me. So if that’s the case, everyone did a phenomenal job in the way they treated me all week, but usually you can tell. But I had no idea. Everyone, watch out. Because these people are really, really good.”
